A soft 3D storybook scene from Shining, with illustrated pages, warm light, and spatial transitions forming the main interaction.
Shining is a small 3D storybook from Chanwoo Hwang, built around pages, light, and spatial scenes instead of the usual scroll-and-card machinery. The premise is simple: let the page act like a place. You move through a short interactive piece where the book format becomes a stage, and the visual language stays closer to illustration than tech demo.
That is what makes it useful to look at from a WebGPU angle. It is using Three.js WebGPU and TSL-era tooling for atmosphere, transitions, and a quieter kind of interaction. The project was recognized by Awwwards, but the better reason to open it is to see how little UI you need when the scene itself knows how to turn the page.
